Yosemite Workshop

We recently returned from a terrific workshop in Yosemite.  The conditions were magnificent; we had some clouds and actually before the workshop started (we were there a few days early) El Cap had a sheet of ice on its face and fog at the bottom; it lasted only moments, but it was just spectacular.  The dogwoods were in bloom and lovely; not past their peak.  We were able to find some nice low hanging branches over the Merced and with our neutral density filters, slow the water to create the effect we wanted to frame the Dogwoods.  It was a special group of participants, and they all got some super shots.  There were plenty of tourists, but we were able to get to some nice out of the way nooks and crannies that we know about, where we did not feel the impact of the crowds.  Everything just worked beautifully and we had a really great time.  By the way, we all ended up at Happy Burger in Mariposa and that is a great place to stop whether going in or out of the Valley on 140.  Next year we hope to hit the Dogwoods in perfect timing again.  Stay tuned as we hope to post some images from our participants.
